Kirka and SIPP Program

Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA), as a member of The World Bank is carrying out SIPP project as a part of technical help financed by the European Agency for Reconstruction (EAR). The aim of SIPP program is further support to the development of institutional capacities of Serbian Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SIEPA), with purpose to ensure that the Agency responds more efficiently to the demands of foreign investors and more successfully promotes the Republic of Serbia as an attractive location for foreign investments.
The fundamental aim of joining Kirka Pharma in the project is to strengthen and develop its position of a qualified multinational companies’ supplier. Promoting management and production capabilities Kirka Pharma wanted to make business with multinational companies easier and take active part in global supplying chain.
The program develops in two phases.
The first phase was accomplished by those companies that were assessed positively in business evaluation of successful operation, performed according to European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) method. EFQM model enabled the companies, amongst other things, to perform self-evaluation related to demanded standards and to work out action plan of developing their own capacities.
During the first phase Kirka Pharma took part in numerous specialized trainings, which contributed high quality performance of five action plans, thus accomplishing various strategic aims of the company.
30 most successful companies, amongst which Kirka Pharma, were chosen after the second business evaluation, to enter the intensive phase of the program. Criteria for choosing companies which entered the intensive phase were as follows:
 Evaluation of general level of company’s business performance, on the basis of business evaluation according to EFQM model
 Evaluation of company’s capabilities to achieve improvements, on the basis of accomplishing action plans.
In the intensive phase Kirka Pharma will continue its work on achieving company’s strategic aims with the help of expert support of consultants from European Union.
